Light deprivation system, also called blackout system, is a shading technology that fully controls how often and how much light that plants receive. It uses blackout shading net to enclose the greenhouse (internal/external) to simulate different time and seasonal changes. The resulting darkness tricks plants into responding by flowering on command, to reduce the time necessary for plants to reach maturity, and enjoy multiple harvests per year. The light deprivation system consists of blackout shading material and is suitable for sensitive plants that require photoperiod modulation, shading plants such as cannabis is very effective, with the light transmittance of <0.1%. In the light deprivation greenhouse, the surface of the blackout shading net can be selected according to the needs. The white surface has a reflectivity of 60% that can increase the absorption of light by crops by 3-5%, the black surface has good thermal insulation effect that can absorb and store the heat, the aluminum foil surface reflects sunlight and prevent unwanted light gathers and heat retains.
